Don’t take the bait. This isn’t about tasers; this is about police murdering a Black man.
Every time this happens they come up with an outrageous excuse: “he had a heart condition,” “he wore a hoodie,” “he didn’t do what I said,” “he did what I said but not how I wanted him to,” ad infinitum.
They have always made up an excuse and they always will. They do it to manipulate the headlines, and therefore our conversations. It’s all distraction.
We can’t get distracted. They murdered another Black man. His name was Daunte Wright, and he should still be alive.
That’s all that matters.
